DAL’s matching system uses various criteria to identify potential matches between your entities and watchlist entities. The system calculates a match percentage score that indicates the strength of the match. The matching criteria and percentage thresholds are configurable via the DAL platform. Contact your administrator to adjust these settings according to your organization’s compliance requirements.

Match Criteria

The system supports the following match criteria:

  • Sanctions: Matches against international sanctions lists. Configurable thresholds include match percentage, date of birth proximity, and location proximity settings.
  • PEPs: Matches against Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) databases. Configurable thresholds include match percentage, date of birth proximity, and location proximity settings.
  • News Media: Matches against news media sources for adverse media screening. Configurable settings include materiality threshold, entity risk threshold, event topics, publication date ranges, and publisher filters.
